  • This stage translates the approved design into a fully coordinated and buildable package, suitable for construction and Building Control approval.

    Studio RHL prepares a comprehensive set of technical drawings and information, ensuring that all architectural and structural elements are fully resolved prior to construction.

  • Services at this stage include:

    • Detailed Building Regulations drawings

    • Construction details and material specifications

    • Structural design and calculations, fully integrated with the architectural scheme

    • Coordination of key elements such as openings, steelwork, and load paths

    • Liaison with Building Control to ensure compliance

    By resolving both architectural and structural requirements together, we minimise gaps in information and reduce the risk of delays or changes on site.

    We also provide guidance on buildability and cost considerations, helping clients move into construction with clarity and confidence.

PLANNING & DESIGN

  • At this stage, Studio RHL provides:

    • Measured surveys and existing drawings (if required)

    • Concept design options and spatial planning

    • Preparation and submission of planning applications

TECHNICAL DESIGN (PRE-CONSTRUCTION)

  • Studio RHL can support clients during the construction phase, helping to ensure that the project is delivered in line with the approved design and technical information.

  • Our role at this stage may include:

    • Acting as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations

    • Periodic site visits to review progress and quality

    • Responding to contractor queries and clarifying design intent

    • Assistance with contractor selection and procurement

    • Project coordination and input during key stages of the build

    We take a proactive and practical approach, working closely with both client and contractor to help maintain quality, resolve issues efficiently, and keep the project on track.

    This level of involvement provides reassurance during construction, ensuring that the design is carried through correctly and reducing the risk of costly mistakes on site.

    Clients can choose the level of involvement required, from limited construction support through to a more hands-on coordination role such as Project Management.
